Oded Sternberg Co   Founder & CEO

Oded Sternberg is one of the founders of PROFOUND and has served as the company’s CEO since its inception. He is recognized as a leading expert in the field of wealth management in Israel, with a distinguished track record spanning over two decades in various key positions within the capital markets. At PROFOUND, Oded specializes in advising high-net-worth individuals (HNWIs), providing comprehensive solutions for wealth preservation, intergenerational wealth transfer, and more, utilizing a broad spectrum of sophisticated financial tools both in Israel and internationally. Among his notable achievements, Oded was one of the founders of Benefit, a company focused on managing equity-based employee compensation plans (Employee Stock Benefit Plans), where he served as Co-CEO until its sale. He later held the position of VP of Sales at Tamir Fishman.

Shai Angel   Co-Founder & Chief Investment Officer

Shai Angel oversees all of PROFOUND's professional activities, including setting investment policies across various financial instruments and managing the firm's strategic relationships with international investment houses in Europe and the United States. With over 25 years of experience in investment management in both Israeli and global markets, Shai brings extensive expertise to the firm. He previously served as Head of Asset Management at Tamir Fishman, where he was responsible for managing the company’s investment portfolios and provident funds. Prior to that, he led the financial derivatives division at a private securities and investment company. Shai holds a bachelor’s degree in economics from the University of Haifa and an MBA with a specialization in Finance and Accounting from Tel Aviv University.

Aviel Azuelos   Head of Investment Department

Aviel Azuelos brings over 25 years of experience in investment management for high-net-worth individuals and institutional clients. As Head of the Investment Department at the company, he is responsible for overseeing investment operations, conducting securities research, and supervising the management of international investment portfolios. Previously, Aviel served as Vice President of Investments at Tamir Fishman, where he was responsible for setting overall investment policy within the investment management division. Aviel holds a Bachelor's degree in Economics and Business Administration from the University of Haifa, and an MBA from the Faculty of Industrial Engineering and Management at the ‘Technion’ – Israel Institute of Technology in Haifa.

Michael Ben Yaakov   Senior Analyst & Fund Manager

Michael Ben Yaakov has approximately 25 years of extensive experience in both securities analysis and equity fund management. In his current role, he serves as a Senior Analyst and Fund Manager at the company. Throughout his career, Michael has held analyst positions at several investment firms. In recent years, he served as an analyst and equity mutual fund manager at ‘Analyst’ Investment House. Michael holds a Bachelor's degree in Economics and Business Administration from Ben-Gurion University of the Negev, and an MBA with a specialization in Finance and Accounting from the Hebrew University of Jerusalem.

Shahar Sinai   VP of Mutual Fund Sales

Shahar Sinai has over 15 years of extensive experience in sales, marketing, and business development within the financial sector, with a strong focus on the mutual fund industry in Israel. He is responsible for overseeing the company's business operations and day-to-day activities in the mutual funds division. Previously, Shahar held various marketing and management roles at KSM, the mutual fund arm of The Phoenix Holdings. He holds a dual degree with honors in Law (LL.B) and Business Administration (B.A) with a specialization in Finance from the College of Management Academic Studies. He is a licensed attorney and holds an investment marketing license.

Lilach Hacohen   Head of Back Office & Compliance Officer

Lilach Hacohen is a member of the management team at PROFOUND. She leads the company's Back Office department and serves as the Compliance and Regulatory Affairs Officer. Previously, Lilach worked as an Account Manager at a leading software and cybersecurity company for businesses, where she was responsible for licensing and operations of the company's backup and cybersecurity products. She holds a Bachelor's degree in Behavioral Sciences and Human Resources Management from the College of Management Academic Studies, and an MBA with Dean’s Honors from the Open University of Israel.

Professor Amir Barnea   Committee Chairman

Professor Amir Barnea is a renowned Professor of Finance and the founding Dean of the Arison School of Business at the Interdisciplinary Center (IDC), Herzliya. He is also Professor (Emeritus) at the Faculty of Management of Tel Aviv University. Specializing in the areas of banking and corporate finance, Professor Barnea has served as chairman and member of various public committees relating to capital markets on behalf of the Israeli Securities Authority (ISA), the Bank of Israel, and the Israeli Ministry of Finance. He also served on the Board of Directors of the Tel Aviv Stock Exchange, and as an external director of Migdal Insurance and Bank Hapoalim. At present, he serves as an external director of Amot Investments. In 1992 he co-founded the Singer-Barnea Investment House. Today, he heads Barnea Economic & Financial Consulting Ltd. Over the years, he has served as a financial consultant to several of the largest business enterprises and financial institutions in Israel. Professor Barnea received his Masters in Economics from the Hebrew University of Jerusalem, and his Ph.D. in Finance and Managerial Economics from Cornell University
